Please Note: Out-of-town guests who pre-register
prior to August 1, 1996 will be eligible to win three nights accommodation
(breakfast included) at the Earle of Lenster Inn - a three star
Bed and Breakfast located three blocks from the start/finish.
Local participants (Saint John and surrounding area) will be eligible
to win a complete running package (sneakers, socks, running shorts,
T-shirt, running suit) complements of GreenLee Shoes. Draws will
be held at 3:00 p.m. on August 1, 1996. Organizing committee assumes
no responsibility for late entrants. (Relay Team participants
must submit all members together on separate entrance form.)
I know that running a road race is a potentially
hazardous activity. I should not enter an run unless I am medically
able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of
a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the
run. I assume all risks associated with running this event including,
but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the
effect of the weather (including wind, rain, fog), traffic and
the conditions of the road in consideration of you accepting my
entry. I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf,
waive and release Festival by the Sea, Marathon Organizing Committee,
Canada Games Aquatic Centre, the Harbour Bridge Authority, the
city of Saint John, the province of New Brunswick and all sponsors,
their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities
out of my participation in this event.
