UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Lays Foundation Stone of Yotta’s North India DC Campus

India, Delhi NCR, 29 November 2020:

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of Yotta Data Center park at Greater Noida at a virtual event. Senior Yotta executive including CEO Sunil Gupta conducted the Bhoomi Pujan at the location, along with senior officials from Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority. Hiranandani Group’s Founder Chairman, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani and Group CEO, Darshan Hiranandani joined the ceremony virtually.

This will be North India’s first hyper-scale data center park and will be spread across 20-acres, it will host 6 data center buildings with 30,000 racks capacity and offer 250MW of total power. Construction of the parks first data center building – Yotta D1 will begin late December this year. It will feature 5000 rack capacity, 42MW power and will go live by July 2022.

On this development Shri Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh expressed, “I’m pleased that the first datacenter park of Uttar Pradesh is coming up in Greater Noida and I congratulate the Hiranandani Group and Yotta on this auspicious occasion. The Hiranandani Group has demonstrated their vision of building a datacenter park in UP even before we’ve formally launched our Data Center Policy and UP’s first datacenter park will unlock a lot of possibilities which will play a key role in realizing the PM’s Digital India vision.
Our biggest success is in creating an environment through our Business Reform Action Plan, where new investors coming to UP feel assured. UP government has moved up in the ease of doing business ranking over the past few years and is at number two in the country today. Our government and administration will extend all support, during and after the construction of this datacenter park, and on behalf of the people of UP, I welcome the Hiranandani Group on taking this step towards the betterment of everyone’s future.”

 

With this data center park, Yotta will address the growing needs of enterprises and intentions of hyperscale cloud service providers for expanding their availability zones in the North India region. At the same time, with more than a quarter of India’s population residing in North India, the data creation and consumption is on the rise. Hence this data center park will provide a robust digital infrastructure to Enterprises and businesses to host their data closer to their operations.
